Shorewest, Realtors® collected more than $14,000 in 2009 for a variety of charities.
Shorewest has implemented a “Casual for a Cause” to raise donations. Employees pay two-dollars every third Friday of the month to dress casual. Each office, department and company affiliated with Shorewest has a chance on a rotating basis to select a charity in their area that is dear to their hearts. Shorewest, Realtors® then matches a percentage of the proceeds.
“I wish to extend our sincere appreciation for the generous donation raised during the casual day event,” said Renee Krueger, Treasurer for Wisconsin Veterans Stand Down, Inc., one of the recipients of Shorewest’s casual day donations. “These funds will help us offer service to homeless and at risk veterans at our February 2010 event.”
Shorewest has already donated over $7,600 this year for Harold Johnson Food Pantry/Twin Oaks Shelter and for the Haiti Earthquake Relief.

“Casual Days” began in August of 1993 with one casual day for a “Christmas is for Kids” program. Shorewest has donated over $327,000 to date.
